Valentine's Day 2014

The day before V-Day, I had no idea where to take LC for dinner.  So I wrote a post on Facebook asking for recommendations.  There were some suggestions, but two people said the best dinner is home-made. 

My favorite blogpal said most good places will be packed, with reservations made weeks ago.

係噃，今年V-Day 係星期五，兼年初十五，邊道有得食吖

下午仆倒走去街市買啲 LC 鍾意嘅餸...

                                                                  龍蝦一隻, $168

                                                                  大蝦四隻, $110

                                                                     班仔一條, $120

蘆筍半磅, $30
 
鹽焗雞半隻, $45
 
 
結數：五百柴都唔使...

鹽焗雞熟買，其他我煮, 我慢手慢腳都搞成個鐘頭...

但係，喺屋企食舒服好多，冇人眼光光催你

Oh, by the way, the cost is all-time-low for a V-Day dinner.  Many of the nicer places are charging about $1,000 per person tonight, for a very 普通 dinner.  係咪"文本"呢

      Thank you for your kind words. I'm always the cook of the family.

      Truth be known, I don't mind paying good money for a super nice meal, but we've tried various eateries over the years. No matter how expensive it is, V-Day dinners on Feb 14 are always mediocre. I think they figure they don't need to be good on that day because they pack it in anyway.

    情人節大餐好豐富喎，豐富過出便D情人節套餐啦。
    有朋友老夫老妻好耐冇食情人節套餐，貪得意去食就中伏喇。全晚只做情人節套餐，冇得a la carte，D野食全部整定，上枱已經凍晒，雪糕又溶晒，覺得好似食飛機餐咁。

      咪係囉，我地幾年冇正式食情人節餐，以前食好多次都係麻麻哋，所以今次你話四圍滿座我都唔太失望，哩次係第一次自己煮, 以後可能繼續 :-)
